You have to pay your dues.

Nothing comes easy.

You have to work hard to get what you want.

We’ve all heard it. Hard work pays off. The problem with this statement is judgment. What I mean is that I grew up believing that if I didn’t work hard I didn’t deserve it. The problem with that way of thinking is that I don’t believe I deserve anything that I get easily and the consequence of thinking that way is that I create of life of hard work and no rewards because I never think that I work hard enough. I’m one of the hardest working people I know. In fact, I would categorize myself as a workaholic. I don’t feel like I’m a worthy person unless I’m working every single hour that I’m awake. And then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I finally realized that I’m creating a life of doom and misery. I work so hard on my films but I don’t seem to be making progress. It’s like the quote by Alfred A. Montapert: Do not confuse motion and progress. A rocking horse keeps moving but does not make any progress.

So I’ve decided to implement “easy” into my life. I put a new line in my Mind Movie: “Everything is so easy”.

OMG

Since then, it’s been magic. Yesterday I was called into the office where I work as an agency temp and they told me that they were going to hire me as a term employee. That means that I’m going to get more money and benefits. I didn’t even do anything. It’s was easy. In fact, my first thoughts were that I didn’t deserve it then I remembered the line in my mind movie and I thanked the universe because I know that the more grateful I am for things coming easily, the more things will come easily to me.

So I’m here to say that things should be easy. I know I will be accomplishing so much more now that I seek easy. I believe my work will be more effective and that I will start seeing great results. In fact, it’s already started.

I’ve recently written a short film. I’ve sent it out at various times to people and I’ve been having a very difficult time with getting the response I want from it. I’ve gone back to the drawing board numerous times for re-writes and still haven’t been getting a good response. The great thing is that I know I have something great on my hands so at least I haven’t given up. But then, just today I got new feedback on the latest draft and I finally got amazing response. I mean it’s so incredible.

So start believing that life is easy and start looking for the response from the universe. It will start delivering immediately I guarantee it, but you have to look for it because you’re so used to it being hard.

Peace and love,

The placebo/nocebo effect.

Many of us have heard of the placebo effect. This was discovered when tests were being done with drugs and half of the test group received the drug while the other half received a placebo. A placebo is also refered to as a sugar pill, although they don’t have any sugar in them. In fact they have inert material in them.

What researchers often find is that when people believe they are receiving a pill that will affect them in a positive way, they experience the effects of the pill.

This is proof positive of the power of the mind.

A Nocebo is the Placebo’s evil twin. In similar tests, a person is given an inert pill and told that it has some drug that can possibly cause vomiting. Some of these people experience the vomiting. These are the people who belive they will experience vomiting.

We are so lucky to be the recipients of such a powerful entity as our minds that we can create ills and health by the simple exercise of belief. All religious doctrines also support the fact that nothing is created in the physical realm before it is created in the mind.

Look at your life. This is what you created. If you want your life to change, then you have to see it first in your mind and then you have to believe it.

Easier said then done but non-the-less doable as can be attested to by any successful person.
